Our Team at Harbor House

Only the Best for Family

The Harbor House focus on people and families extends to our caregivers, too. We hire professionals who are looking for a career and a way of life, not just a job. Our team is selected for skill as well as nurturing nature. We expect a lot from them. In return, we provide all of the support we can, including ongoing training and education programs. You can rest assured that your loved one is in highly trained, kind, creative and caring hands.

All team members who are in a supervisory capacity at Harbor House are required to take the training required of our Resident Care Specialists. Additionally, all are required to complete a comprehensive training program that is broken down into various eLearning modules designed to address all aspects of Leadership.

Harbor House believes very strongly in making sure that all supervisors have the skills necessary to provide an engaging work environment for our team members. Our supervisors complete advanced training covering a variety of topics that build a foundation in leadership and communication skills. We also include detailed training on how to set performance standards and goals, and how to coach Resident Care Specialists and provide performance feedback to them. Other lessons taught include discipline, resolving conflict and delegating effectively.

By giving our supervisors skills and tools to better manage their staff, we can continue to build our culture of trust and of family. We know that administrators who feel truly supported by their management are more engaged in their jobs and are able to give more to their residents, family members and co-workers.

Due to our extensive hiring and training programs, families can be confident that their loved one will receive the highest level of respect, dignity and care at all times. At Harbor House, our goal is to provide prompt and dependable service that meets and exceeds expectations.
